Air Italy

The Air Italy global creative review goes to the Libera Brand Building group.

The Libera Brand Building Group has won Air Italy’s global creative review and has been appointed to manage worldwide omni-channel marketing on behalf of the Italian airline.

Air Italy is an Italian airline fully owned by AQA Holding (51% Alisarda, 49% Qatar Airways), with headquarters in Olbia on the Costa Smeralda and operating base at Milan’s Malpensa airport. In March 2018 the Company started operations under the brand name Air Italy and a year after its re-branding is preparing for an important new phase of growth and development, choosing the Libera Brand Building Group to lead its global communication activities for the next three years.

“Air Italy is a brand with high growth potential. Winning the tender and being chosen as a partner for global communication is a great confirmation of our ability to strategically view and manage complex communication projects – says Roberto Botto, CEO & Founder of the Libera Brand Building Group – To say that the challenge we have ahead of us is ambitious is something of an understatement: we have been asked to help turn the second largest Italian carrier into the airline of choice both in Italy and for all those who want to travel to Italy.” A challenge that, starting from the positioning statement ‘Imagine the world differently’, aims to produce emotional storytelling content that focuses on the values of Air Italy and creates a distinctive image on the international scene.

“We are addressing a whole new generation of travelers, made up of both adventure seekers and leisure urbanists, accustomed to living in highly stimulating real and / or virtual environments – continues Enrico Chiadò Rana, ECD & Founder of Libera Brand Building Group – Constantly in search of new destinations, new discoveries, new opportunities: to be taken on the fly, lived to the full, and later to be recounted and shared with others. Our main goal is to create an emotional connection with this type of traveler, based on the urge to travel, to look at the world with different eyes and on an Italianness which is far from the stereotypes but close to the culture of beauty, authenticity and hospitality. This kind of engagement will therefore have a fundamental role: we will have the task of transforming it into off-line, on-line and on-site communications, taking every possible opportunity to increase brand awareness and activate one-to-one interaction with the brand.”

“After the company’s successful launch in March 2018, over the last 15 months we have established all the elements of Air Italy’s brand identity,” said Rossen Dimitrov, Chief Operating Officer of Air Italy. “The time has come to expand and amplify this activity by boosting recognition of the airline and its services, offering and showing our values through engaging, stimulating, disruptive and memorable multi-channel communication – and we are certain that Libera Brand Building can help us achieve this goal.”

Liaising closely with Air Italy’s Marketing department, teams from Libera Brand Building, Bebit and MagicBox Events are already working to create both on and offline global communication strategies.
